Finally my blog about Venlo is coming.
It took me some days because after the concert I had to rest and then work got me full back.
Sunday 14/04 was in Venlo the Down by the River Festival.
I was a bit to early at the venue so I was going to the Grenswerk Cafe/Restaurant and had a tasty meal.
So just only one hour left before the entry and I was the first at the venue. I would say I'm official a groupie. Haha.
When I came into the venue I was so excited to see Lauren, Jess and Lightfoot for the second time.
There stage time was 16:15 so before I was able to watch another band Woody&Paul, they're from the Netherlands.
I had my self-designed personal LRW concert journey sweatshirt on. So anybody could see which person and band I'm supporting and the funny thing was that an older man pointed at me and asked me if the band is good and of course my answer was yes!👌🏻
The band started with 'the breakup song'.
That new version of that song is definitely freaking cool.
The setlist was almost exactly the same like in Cologne and the vibe there was insane.
Lauren touched my heart again with her strong vocals and powerful performance, Jess on the drums is on fire and Lightfoot is definitely a badass guitar player.
The whole set was going just an hour.
After that concert I waited outside and it was worth it because later the band came out.
I was happy to see the band again and especially Lauren.
We hugged and I had with the band a little chat.
Lauren gave me something and when I think about that moment my heart is making an extra beat.
After the hugs and little chat we made one last photo session before saying goodbye to each other.
I'm sad that the concert journey is officially over for me and at the same time I can't wait for the new tour!
